About Us

Here at Jurassic Sport fishing on the Central Coast we've assembled a team of dedicated Anglers from all aspects of the sport to bring you information and insights into the diverse world of adventures on the water.  Our team is inspired by local everyday individuals who live the sport and have a passion to enlighten and share their experience that'll bring you an in depth look at fishing destinations, gear reviews, new products, kayak fishing tournaments, events, and other great information to benefit the central coast far as fishing, scuba, -free-diving and kayak fishing.
We invite you to join our group in efforts to preserve fishing on the Central coast. We encourage catch & release as an effective and easy fish conservation releasing them is a great way of helping to preserve the sport for generations to come.

Jurassic Sport Fishing operates as a fishing club locally and nationally hunting the outer coastal waters of the channel islands and inner coastal waters off the amazing California coastline to the high mountains, Rivers and lakes of the sierras. We fish year round targeting many different species of fish.  Year round we fish from shore in what we call Pocketfishing as seen on Inside Sprotfishing.  We have members with boats, scuba diving, free diving and kayaks that fish our local waters.  We also have members that are dedicated to the local Lakes and fish tournaments year as well.  JSF is dedicated to our members which are all walks of life.  First responders, veterans, active duty, retires, kids and women are just to name a some that are in our club.  We have members from Monterey to Florida.  Our goal is to just fish and have fun doing it.   If you're interested in becoming a member then come fish with us.  


Fishing with us you should know a couple things.  We are about the sport and having fun but also following the rules.  We follow coast guard and California Fish and Wildlife to the T.  That sometimes separates some people that want to fish with us.  I can personally assure you that following the rules you can still have fun fishing.  Jurassic Sportfishing does not run as a Charter company.  We do help out with local events such as sponsoring tournaments  entering tournaments, giving back to veterans by taking them fishing and even doing beach clean up as well as mylar balloon clean up on our local beaches in our local waters.  If we seem like the group for you then hit the Contacts tab at the top and shoot us a message that you want to join!!!!!

Founders

Our club was founded in 2012 and is currently still fishing more than ever. Our founders are not professional fisherman and wont be called that.  Just some guys that wanted to have fun fishing together.  The group was founded so that a network could be built to go fishing leaving no-one behind that wanted to fish.  Our passion for fishing runs hard through our blood and can be seen in the videos and pictures here on our club page and our social media content.  Our founders are all fathers and husbands and thrive to get new people on fish.
